What
a difference a day makes. Yesterday we were sweltering in a muggy golf
round, today we were almost washed off the face of the earth. Lots of
heavy downpours put a damper on the "Marina Appreciation Day" party. I
have never seen so many people drenched to the skin- loading their boats,
walking to the bathroom, getting to the party, etc. We felt sorry for
the marina staff who had worked so hard to put on a nice party. I
think we had at least an inch of rain but it was still warm. Tomorrow
we will go to St. Michaels and it is supposed to be nice. There is a
nice museum there which chronicles the history of the Chesapeake and are
told it is a good starting point. A fellow boater showed us a route
which will keep us off the bay as much as possible. Waves are 1-2 feet
today but probably will be less tomorrow.
Becka
and I got a walk in this afternoon with drizzly rain, but 2 miles gets you
pretty wet. We went shopping for shoes for Fred this afternoon- seems
like his shoes give out as we head to sea (right, Tracie and Jeff?).
Tomorrow we're back into the 90's.
I hope the pictures will improve with the weather.
